Joyful Restoration Wellness Internship Opportunities
Joyful Restoration Wellness welcomes and enjoys working with graduate students who are earning their internship and practicum hours towards graduation. Our facility partners with a non-profit organization in Denton called Bridging Hope to provide free and low-cost counseling services to community members who may not have the financial means to access therapy otherwise.
Our graduate students play a significant role in this partnership by seeing clients not only at our main offices but also at the Bridging Hope site, located at 4582 Fishtrap Rd, Denton, TX.
Weekly Supervision
Weekly supervision includes case consultation about clients and provides education and tools to equip new counselors to feel confident in their sessions. In addition, our team meets every Monday from Noon-2 pm where we eat, pray, and consult together.

Are You a Good Fit?
You may be a good fit as a graduate student intern at our facility if:
- You are available to see clients from 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday through Friday, as those are the hours we have fully licensed counselors onsite.
- You have a joyful attitude and a willingness to learn.
- You are willing to sign our statement of faith, agreeing to abide by our mission, vision, and values (found here).
Application Process
Obtaining an internship opportunity with Joyful Restoration Wellness is a four-step process:
- After reviewing your application, we will ask you to submit your resume as well as two letters of recommendation (one professional recommendation and one pastoral recommendation on letterhead).
- Our team will review your information to determine if you are a good fit for our program. If we are interested, you will be scheduled for an interview. This is also your opportunity to learn about us and see if you want to work with us.
- If the feeling is mutual that you would be a blessing to our team, you will be offered an internship position.
