Hello there! As I’ve pursued becoming a counselor, I have confronted my own
skepticism about the effectiveness of counseling. I didn’t consider counseling to be an option for me because my problems weren’t “that” bad. I chose to pursue healing on my own because of the shame and fear that I harbored inside. It wasn’t until I entered college that hurts from my past began to surface. My journey to professional counseling started with my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Dallas Baptist University. There I played on the women’s soccer team for four years. |

After graduation, I completed a Discipleship Training School at YWAM Orlando.
I eventually decided to pursue my master’s in professional counseling at
Dallas Baptist University. Every step of the way, I’ve been given the opportunity to
experience healing. It has been by the grace of God that I have had safe people in my
path to walk with me as I have stumbled and grown. I have been challenged yet
encouraged by the questions, experiences, and perspectives of others as they have
tried to understand my world.
I believe to be seen and to be known, as uncomfortable as they can be, are catalysts for
opening up the heart to the possibility of change. My hope is that by being seen and
heard, you will be led toward healing in your life, however that may look for you.
Wherever you’re at in your journey, I invite you to consider counseling as an option for
you. It would be an honor to walk alongside you as you process your questions, doubts,
fears, and weariness and to celebrate with you in your victories, joys, and
breakthroughs.
