I know, friend, life is hard enough, and sometimes we can unintendedly put taking care of ourselves on the back burner. Even just the word “nutrition” can be overwhelming, and sometimes it’s hard to know where to put our energy. I’m here to partner with you and help simplify things. I know from my own story that it can take a strong personal “why” to motivate us into taking our health seriously.

Twelve years ago, God gave me my “why” when I found out I was pregnant during my first year of college. At the time, I was honestly in a very unhealthy place spiritually, and I was also suffering from symptoms of depression/anxiety, joint pain, inflammatory acne, and chronic exhaustion. Now that I was carrying life inside of me, I was suddenly aware of how the choices I made were no longer only affecting just me. I was about to be a wife and mother. It was the prenatal nutrition and breastfeeding education I received through the WIC program that sparked my desire to start making some lifestyle changes.

I got married, my husband enlisted in the Air Force, and we moved out of North Texas to start this new chapter together. I changed my major, and the first nutrition class I took completely blew my mind. I was fascinated as I learned more about how what I ate translated to the health of every cell and cell process in my entire body. As I made healthier and more mindful choices, I started to feel that God’s desires for me were better achieved.

By His grace, I finished my bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition, 1200 hours of supervised practice, and passed my national board exam all while caring for two small children and dealing with a deployed military spouse. I’ve now worked in a variety of professional settings such as: hospital/acute care, oncology, diabetes self-management, cardiac rehab, fitness, school nutrition and ultimately came back full circle where I worked most recently for the WIC program serving women, infants, and children. I have received extensive training in prenatal/postpartum nutrition, lactation, and childhood nutrition. I’ve also cultivated a focus on intuitive eating and functional nutrition, and I seek to help all of my clients form a healthy relationship with food.

I am here to help you take the steps you need to feel better, to have more energy, and to live out your life to the fullest. I take a client-centered, holistic approach, to helping you reach your health goals. My food philosophy teaches you about real nourishment, all while learning to listen to your body and appreciate the God given form that you already have. I would love to work with you and be a partner with you and/or your family as you pursue better health.

The Lord has recently moved back my husband and our 3 children back to North Texas. We are grateful to be near our families again. Things I enjoy: good coffee, hiking, cooler weather, and growing my own food/herbs. I am passionate about using the good things God has given us to live a healthier life; real food, nature, movement, sleep, and healthy relationships. I am looking forward to working with you!
