Elizabeth Tayem, Graduate Student Intern
“Each one of us has a story, and the story of our journey started somewhere. Sometimes it is hard to put a finger on all that life circumstances have thrown at us that has subtly crept into our lives, relationships, and marriages, eventually affecting our children and causing our families and marriages not to have the optimum peace, joy, and happiness it deserves."

Elizabeth Tayem is an author and a speaker. She was born and raised in Cameroon, West Africa. She is a Naturalized US Citizen and a Texas resident for two decades. She has been married for 22 years to Dr. Eric Tayem Tangumonkem, and they are blessed with five God-given children. She has a BS in Psychology and a minor in child learning and development. Her first masters is in Developmental Psychology (with an emphasis on Human Development and Early childhood Disorders) from the University of Texas at Dallas.
While a stay-at-home mother, Elizabeth ran a home daycare for four and a half years and then went further to open a private parenting consulting practice in Richardson, Texas. During her time working with parent and their family, she felt she got the call and passion to see couples and their children thrive through the challenges that come with a growing family at each stage of development. As such, she went back to school, where she is currently working towards her second master’s to become a License Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) at Amberton University. I love what I do because I believe my passion has met preparation. I’m always excited to walk alone side couples, young adults, and their families to help them get the emotional and spiritual healing that helps to unlock their full potential as a family and as individuals.
As a student intern, I would love to walk alongside you and provide a safe and secure environment that you can trust again to build and create a new attachment bond with your husband, wife, children, family relatives, and friends. I look forward to meeting you!
When I am not in the office with clients or at school, I spend the time with my family hiking, camping, or tending the goats on our farm in Pittsburg, Texas.
As an author and speaker, I like reading especially none fiction books and especially those that are in my area of expertise. I strongly believe to grow; we must have a mind to learn.
