Jason Allen — Licensed Professional Counselor
I have a passion for assisting individuals, couples, and families struggling through difficult circumstances and working through past traumatic experiences. My passion for walking alongside others comes from previous experiences as a patrol deputy and in the military. While serving as a patrol deputy I experienced life and death situations—seeing both the best and worst of the human condition.

As I progressed in my career, I noticed that most of the situations I responded to could have been prevented through alternative means such as therapy. This included both the problems within the different homes and the aftereffects of experiencing traumatic events. It is through these experiences, and God changing my heart, that I felt called to go back to school to become a counselor.
My education includes a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling from LeTourneau University; Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling – Criminal Justice from Liberty University; and a Bachelor of Science in Bible – Pastoral Studies from Lancaster Bible College; along with various military and law enforcement related schools. I have advanced training in trauma and experience in working with individuals struggling with a wide variety of issues including Trauma, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Anger Management, Grief, Parenting, Premarital and Marital Counseling, Conflict Resolution, Spiritual/Faith Issues, Pastoral/Church Support. As a veteran and former law enforcement officer, I also have a passion for assisting first responders, military personnel, veterans, and their families and helping them move past traumatic experiences and learn effective techniques that can assist them in the future.
My approach towards counseling is based upon an integrated approach with a Biblical foundation where psychological principles are used to assist the client in the healing process. Each session is tailored to the individual client and is based upon his or her presenting issue and concerns. My goal is to walk alongside the client and assist him or her in learning effective ways to live a fuller and more vibrant life. Excitement comes when a client can effectively work through his or her issue(s), learn ways to move past the problem by overcoming the challenge, find a deeper purpose in his or her life, relationships, and effectively live a fuller and more vibrant life. I find joy in the process while walking alongside a client in their journey.
My family and I have lived in the North Texas area since 2017 and moved to Denton after I finished school in 2019. We enjoy the small-town feel and sense of community Denton provides and the beautiful North Texas landscape. My wife teaches in a local school district where my two children attend, and we are members of a local church.
While your circumstance can feel overwhelming, you do not have to do it alone. Deep wounds can heal, and you can enjoy life again. You can find a deeper purpose in your life, relationships, and effectively live a fuller and more vibrant life. I look forward to walking alongside you during this process and assisting you in achieving your goals.
