Lakysha Chambers is a Practicum Student Intern with Amberton University, currently studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling. With over 7 years of experience in the helping profession, Lakysha is deeply committed to supporting survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. She works daily at Refuge for Women North Texas, where she provides care and guidance to those overcoming trauma.Passionate about trauma education and therapy, Lakysha is dedicated to empowering individuals to heal and grow.

She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of North Texas and has called the DFW area home since 2017.
Lakysha's own personal journey has shaped her profound understanding of the power of counseling, as well as the importance of leaning on the Lord for strength and guidance. Through an empathetic, integrative approach, she walks alongside both adults and teens, helping them navigate their struggles and unlock their full potential.

We know life can throw us all kinds of scenes and circumstances. Some of these moments are beautiful and some of them can happen in an instant and catch us off guard.
