M. Antoinette Walker is a Seattle native and currently resides in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex. She earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Prairie View A&M University in 1986. After a successful 18-year career as a paralegal, Ms. Walker returned to graduate school in 2015. She earned a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Walden University in 2017 and began serving her community in the behavioral health and substance use fields through the public health and the county and federal prison systems.

In 2019, Ms. Walker opened a private practice specializing in co-occurring disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders utilizing psychotherapy and neurotherapy.
Currently, Ms. Walker is a licensed professional counselor, licensed mental health counselor, substance use disorder professional, certified in integrated medicine, and internationally board certified in neurofeedback. Ms. Walker is licensed and practices in the states of Texas and Washington.
In 2020, Ms. Walker and 4 other women began to write about their journey to emotional healing. In February 2022, The Ashes Have Voices was released. Since that time, she and the co-authors have been touring the country sharing their stories and creating safe spaces for others to talk about their healing process.
In 2021, Ms. Walker was awarded the Community Connect Grant from the Seattle Times. A grant that assists underrepresented businesses with media and marketing exposure.
