Michelle Shamblin, APMHNP-BC, CARN-AP
Michelle Shamblin is a psychiatric nurse practitioner who specializes in the treatment of addictions but also sees patients aged 12 and above for general psychiatry. She is board certified through the ANCC to practice psychiatry and has additional certifications in addiction medicine as a CARN-AP. She possesses Suboxone waiver certification through ASAM.
Michelle graduated in 2008 with honors from The University of Texas. She ha been in both private practice settings and residential care settings since that time. She has been an adjunct professor at UTA since 2008 and was an instructor in the UTA School of Nursing from 2005-2008. She is currently a consultant for several pharmaceutical companies where she lectures nationally about subjects such as bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
