Brenda Powell, Office Administrator

Brenda is one of the newer members of the Joyful Restoration team. She brings with her twenty years of service to the Denton community through leadership positions in various organizations, including Christian Home Educators Co-op and Texas Christian Homeschool Prom. The highlight of the past 20+ years for Brenda has been directing the home education of her children.
She has a keen eye for organization and does all things with great integrity. Born and raised in Kentucky, Brenda attended Eastern Kentucky University before marrying Doug and eventually settling in Denton after stops in Houston and Las Vegas. Brenda and Doug have raised three amazing kids – Joshua, Emma, and Micah. |

Brenda’s greatest joy is spending time with her family and friends. She lightens up a room with her joy and energy. Her generous spirit engages everyone she encounters because she has literally never met a stranger. If you don’t already know Brenda, you’re a friend she hasn’t met yet.
Brenda’s work history has been primarily in accounts receivable/payable. Her volunteer roles have often led her into similar tasks, with an emphasis on customer service – and serving people well. She is passionate about helping Joyful Restoration do well with each individual who interacts with our practice. If you call or email our office, you’ll often hear back from the Brenda.
Brenda’s best piece of advice for someone who is a little hesitant to start counseling is this: “Just take the first step.
Be yourself. And be honest with yourself and your counselor. Everything else will fall into place.”
