Star Mendez, Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, Supervised by Christy Stone, LPC-S
There’s a lot of professional things I could say and a lot of big words I could use, to sort of sell myself to you and try to get you to buy in. But to put it simply, I just believe in the power of loving one another. I believe in the power of meeting people where they’re at and coming alongside them to support their journey. My heart for my clients is just that. I can’t promise you I’ll have all the answers, but I can guarantee that you will be loved and supported as we navigate through things together. Wherever you’re at, I’m there.
For as long as I can remember, counseling has been my dream. It is such an honor to be trusted and invited into the most intimate parts of people’s lives, and it is something I will never take lightly.
Therapy is for everyone! I work with all ages, but my client load consists of mostly children and teens. I specialize in helping clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationships, and self-esteem.
A little bit about me:
I’m a native Texan! I was born in Dallas, and raised in Denton. I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Texas Tech University (Wreck ‘Em!). I then received my Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Wayland Baptist University.
I am a true Gen Z’er! Basically, I’m chronically online. I like to have fun and I love being around people. Also, I have a pomeranian named Koko and she is the cutest thing in the whole world! That’s about it!
